Combining YKK’s VISLON® technology with a new innovative seal between the zipper elements, the YKK AQUASEAL® allows a smooth and easy operation with perfect protection against the most severe weather conditions and extreme outdoor activities.
YKK AQUASEAL® Dry Zips are made from a high quality plastic which is roughly half the weight of a conventional metal zipper. This makes YKK AQUASEAL® Dry Zips ideal for use in salt water environments.
These zips are closed on both ends with a fit-in type seal stop at one end and a standard end stop at the other. The Zip lengths are measured from these stops.
Smart use of zippers
• Slowly move the slider when operating. Angular pulling may cause element mis-engagement and may result in poor waterproof performance or damage zippers.
• Overstretching of the top and bottom stops should be avoided.
• AQUASEAL® zips may be susceptible to UV degradation, creasing, and de-lamination and wear though friction.
• Folding or crushing the zipper may affect its performance.
• YKK does not recommend the use of this item on walking water balls, or similar items.
Cleaning
• Regular cleaning with fresh water to remove sand and dirt will help increase the longevity of the zipper.
• Do not use chemicals or harsh soaps, machine wash or dry clean the zipper.
Maintenance
After cleaning the zipper, YKK recommend the application of either a lubricant or paraffin wax to maintain the proper waterproof performance.
1. Apply the lubricant to the outer section of the fit-in seal stop.
2. Apply a small amount of paraffin wax along the zipper elements.
Storage
• Do not fold or bend the zippers when they are stored.
• Do not store the garment/goods in temperatures over 60°C.
• Store with the zipper completely closed, taking care not to bend it. Storing the zipper in an opened position for long periods will deform the seal.
Orders received before 2pm will normally be despatched the same working day with UK Mainland orders usually arriving the next business day if the courier option is chosen (Highlands and Islands deliveries normally take 1-2 days longer). Budget service normally takes 2-3 days and is usually delivered by Royal Mail.

To enable us to keep you informed of the delivery progress please supply a mobile telephone number with your order so we can send these text message delivery updates.
International orders are generally received under 14 days.
A delivery fee will be added to your order BEFORE you pay so you will be able to see the total before committing to an order. The delivery charge will be shown after you enter your delivery country.
The delivery fee is calculated by weight. In the UK, for small items (whistles, clips etc) the delivery fee may be only a few pounds. For larger items like a wetsuit the fee is £5.70. Multiple items may incur a higher charge and this will always be shown to you before you pay.
