The Maverick wetsuit is an extremely flexible neck entry suit that will stretch to follow your body contours and give an excellent degree of comfort and low degree of flushing.
We have used high quality, super stretch 100% organic natural rubber on this wetsuit to provide exceptional warmth, flexibility, durability and comfort.
The Maverick Wetsuit is an excellent, all-round wetsuit for Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter use and is suitable for surfing as well as many other watersports.
The first thing you’ll notice about the Maverick wetsuit is how flexible it is. The stretchy neoprene material makes the suit very flexible and comfortable to wear. This flexible design helps the suit to conform to the body shape more effectively than most other suits at this price level. A snugly fitting wetsuit will help minimise water ingress and maximise warmth to help keep you toasty warm in the colder months.
Our 4mm arm panels are designed to keep you free from restrictions while swimming or doing other sports that require flexibility of movement. The thickness of neoprene used varies over different panels of the wetsuit; 5mm neoprene in the torso area helps to keep the body core warm while 4mm neoprene offers flexibility in the arms and legs.
Our kneepad design is both tough and at the same time flexible. Some wetsuit kneepads restrict the stretching of the suit quite significantly. Our Armaprene™ material is designed to be 10 times more abrasion resistant than regular neoprene but also retains the ability to stretch. We’ve even included a key pocket on the right knee with elastic loop for easy access to your keys.
These features help keep the knee area of the Maverick wetsuit flexible and comfortable and at the same time be able to resist a higher degree of wear and tear.
The Maverick wetsuit uses a front entry double neck system with a heavy duty YKK zipper. The outer pull over neck panel features a smoothskin neoprene lining and elastic drawstring to ensure a close fit to reduce water ingress.
The Thermalcore lining in the Maverick wetsuit provides extra thermal lining from the chest to the knees. This internal lining helps to trap air and water for improved insulation for your core.
The wetsuit uses blind stitching throughout to keep water ingress to a minimum. During manufacture the seams are first glued together, tape is then applied to the interior seams, then finally the suit is turned the correct way out and the exterior blind stitch is applied. Blind stitching is a “dry stitch” as it does not penetrate all the way through the material and therefore does not allow water to flow through the stitch hole. This 3 stage seam construction helps to make a seam that is both strong and warm.
