Clearance Wetsuit: This wetsuit comes with a 6 month manufacturing warranty
The Challenger wetsuit will deliver the warmth, flexibility, buoyancy and ease of exit that most triathletes are looking for.
So what’s so special about it? Firstly the materials. We have trialled countless materials to find a grade of neoprene that will give us the degree of flexibility we required for triathlon and finally settled on the Matsuda range of neoprene’s that you see here.
The high degree of flexibility means that swimming in the suit is less restrictive than a standard wetsuit. The cut of the suit is designed to follow the contours of the female body shape body and give a fit to your body that is like a ‘second skin’. This helps keeps the water inside the suit to a minimum and so give you a warm and flexible swimming experience.
The underarm area of the suit is key to making your swim stroke unrestricted. We’ve used Megastretch neoprene here to make sure you have low restriction at the full stretch of your swim stroke.
The main body area, which requires warmth and buoyancy , is made from 3mm neoprene. The arms and legs, which still require buoyancy but also need higher flexibility are made from 2mm neoprene and the under arm area is made from 1.5mm Matsuda Megastretch neoprene.
The underarm area is where most flexibility is required in a triathlon wetsuit as you overstretch this panel whilst extending your arm at the top of your swim stroke.
The wrist area traction panels of the suit are made from Matsuda Aquagrip Neoprene which helps to increase the amount of propulsive force transferred from your arms to the water.
