Our 15m throw lines were designed for those who love kayaking and are running whitewater.
The 15m length of floating line should be long enough for most of our customers needs. This length makes it easier to throw than longer lengths, although we do sell a 20m throw line for those that want the extra length.
The polypropylene floating rope contained within the throw bag is 8mm thick. We find that this thickness of rope offers just the right amount of weight and strength, without too much bulk. This weight / strength ratio allows you to throw the line with accuracy while also making it easy to handle when re-packing the stuff bag.
We added a light reflective panel around the bottom of the bag to help make it visible by torchlight and its yellow colour scheme also helps improve its overall visibility in dark or dull conditions.
It is worth noting that all members of a paddling group should carry a throw line bag and know how to use it safely. It is also advisable that those carrying our kayak throw line also carry a line cutter that is capable of cutting the rope.
Although designed for kayaking use, our throwlines are also very popular with our yachting and sailing customers for dock or marina use because they are easy to use and suitable for lots of different tasks.
The 8mm floating rope deploys well from the easily re-packed kayak throw bag and the 15 meter length makes the total weight of this throwline approx 460 grams. The Tensile strength of the rope is 850kg and the Rated Capacity is 170kg.

Orders received before 2pm will normally be despatched the same working day with UK Mainland orders usually arriving the next business day if the courier option is chosen (Highlands and Islands deliveries normally take 1-2 days longer). Budget service normally takes 2-3 days and is usually delivered by Royal Mail.
Our main UK couriers are Parcelforce and DPD who will normally send you a text message with delivery updates. This includes, where possible, an estimated time of delivery. To enable us to keep you informed of the delivery progress please supply a mobile telephone number with your order so we can send these text message delivery updates.
International orders are generally received under 14 days.
A delivery fee will be added to your order BEFORE you pay so you will be able to see the total before committing to an order. The delivery charge will be shown after you enter your delivery country.
The delivery fee is calculated by weight. In the UK, for small items (whistles, clips etc) the delivery fee may be only a few pounds. For larger items like a wetsuit the fee is £5.70. Multiple items may incur a higher charge and this will always be shown to you before you pay.
