We’ve been busy creating a brand new concept for swimming wetsuits. The swimming wetsuit industry had ended up in a position where most swimming wetsuits were based on triathlon wetsuits where speed through the water was the main design consideration. We were aware though that most of our customers were not competing in triathlons, so we decided to make a wetsuit aimed at recreational swimmers and focusing on their needs and this suit is called the Nuotare. This non-smoothskin wetsuit is designed for both experienced and novice swimmers and is available in a wider range of sizes than any other women’s wetsuit we’re aware of.
The Nuotare is a revolutionary design in women’s swimming wetsuits. Most swimming wetsuits are versions of smooth skin triathlon wetsuits, which are designed to be as fast as possible. Smooth Skin neoprene makes them slightly faster than regular wetsuits, but also makes them more fragile and easily ripped.
The Nuotare wetsuit takes all the design and shape features from Lomo’s triathlon wetsuits, but combines them with a super stretch neoprene material that has super stretch nylon on the outside instead of a smooth skin finish. This makes the suit more durable, but also more stretchy, and more robust, making it easier to get on and off.
The Nuotare is also more versatile than smooth skin swimming wetsuits. Due to its nylon outer coating, it is also suitable for other watersports activities, such as paddle boarding, kayaking, and bodyboarding. This makes it a great all-around wetsuit for women who enjoy a variety of outdoor swimming activities.
The Nuotare wetsuit is made with 3/2mm neoprene, with thicker panels around the chest area and thinner panels in the arms and legs. This provides a good balance of warmth and flexibility.

Wetsuit Sizing
The Lomo Watersports Nuotare wetsuit is available in a super wide range of sizes, from dress sizes 6 to 32. We took feedback from a wide range of our customers and found that plus-size wetsuits were particularly hard to find and that those companies that did offer them were very limited in which plus sizes they offered. We’ve been delighted with the feedback so far on our size range and will continue to listen to the feedback to see if we are missing any sizes from our range.
The Nuotare wetsuit is made from super stretchy neoprene, which makes it easy to get on and off, even for women who need larger sizes. Some plus-size wetsuits don’t stretch much so you can end up with a suit that fits in some places but not in others. Our super stretchy material solves a lot of this as it will conform to your body shape more easily than a less stretchy wetsuit.
